The police have received reports of scam callers contacting people in the Martley & Tenbury area pretending to be from British Telecom (BT). The caller claims that there is a problem with the internet connection and tries to encourage victims to download a copy of the ‘fault report’ to a laptop or other internet linked device. The ‘fault report’ is most likely to be a virus/malware. If you are contacted, hang up immediately and notify the police. You should also report the incident to REPORT FRAUD.
